SFR has not yet formalized its new box, Box 10, and however the operator has already published the technical characteristics in a help sheet at the level of your site.
There are already details about the new SFR Box 10
Visually speaking, the new SFR Box 10 looks similar to the Box 10+ that was launched last year. We find a vertical box that may remind us of the Orange Livebox, a gray/silver center and two black facades. There is also an e-ink display.
In terms of technical features, this is what SFR lists:
- Wi-Fi: Dual-band Wi-Fi 7, Smart Wi-Fi, Wi-Fi Alliance certified
- Performance: up to 2 Gb/s per second, depending on offer and subject to equipment compatibility
- Dimensions: 210 x 184 x 79mm
- Weight: 788 grams
- Power consumption: 9.4 watts in active mode
The SFR Box 10 has:
- 1 optical port
- 4 Ethernet ports, including 2 2.5 Gb/s Ethernet ports and 2 1 Gb/s Ethernet ports
- 1 telephone port
- 1 USB-C port
- 1 ON/OFF power button
- 1 power connector (SUP)
- 1 fiber optic connector (GPON technology)
- 1 reset button
Now comes the question of performance. With the SFR Box 10, it will support the GPON standard with a speed of 2 Gb/s at best. In comparison, the Box 10+ supports XGS-PON and can reach 8 Gb/s.
There is still no information on the availability date of Box 10 by SFR. But its appearance by mistake on the attendance sheet suggests that the formalization should not take long.
