We told you a few weeks ago, Microsoft is organizing a big event this Wednesday, October 7, 2026, dedicated to Windows, Surface and RTX Spark. This time we are there as the conference will begin this afternoon at 7 pm in France. Here’s where to watch the conference live and what Microsoft could present to us tonight.
The conference will begin this Wednesday, October 7 at 10 am in San Francisco, or at 7 pm in mainland France.
For the occasion, Microsoft will broadcast the entire event live on official Windows YouTube channel. The live is now online and it is possible to activate a reminder to be notified a few minutes before the start of the conference.
Microsoft announces an event dedicated to Windows, Surface and RTX Spark, including new experiences for developers and creators.
Microsoft CEO Satya Nadella, Windows and Surface head Pavan Davuluri, and NVIDIA CEO Jensen Huang are expected to take the stage.
What to expect at the Microsoft conference?
Presented last June, the Surface Laptop Ultra should logically occupy a good part of the conference. Microsoft had already presented the broad lines of this new high-end laptop, but there are still several details to be clarified.
According Windows CenterMicrosoft should use the event to more concretely show the performance of the machine, even when running on battery. The firm should also return to its 15-inch PixelSense Ultra screen, its large haptic touchpad and the different configurations it will offer, with two versions of RTX Spark and up to 128 GB of unified memory.
We could also learn more about its marketing, since its price and release date have not yet been announced. According to Windows Central sources, the base model equipped with 24 GB of memory should start well above $2,000.
Surface Laptop Ultra is above all one of the first machines to incorporate RTX Spark, NVIDIA’s new platform designed to locally run workloads linked to artificial intelligence. And with Jensen Huang present alongside Microsoft, his capabilities are sure to be greatly highlighted tonight.
RTX Spark at the heart of the event
RTX Spark should also be widely discussed tonight, as Microsoft mentions it directly in its conference announcement. Jensen Huang, CEO of NVIDIA, will also participate in the event along with Satya Nadella and Pavan Davuluri.
Microsoft and NVIDIA should show us in particular the possibilities offered by this new platform on Windows, in particular to run AI models and agents directly on the PC.
We could also have news about the Surface RTX Spark Dev Box, a mini PC for developers that Microsoft presented last June. According to Windows Central, its marketing could begin at the same time, or almost, as that of the Surface Laptop Ultra.
New AI features for Windows?
Microsoft should also use the event to present several new features coming to Windows. At the moment, the company remains quite discreet about it, but several announcements regarding artificial intelligence are expected.
In particular, Microsoft could introduce new features that allow AI agents to perform certain tasks directly on the PC. These could interact with Windows and different applications, with controlled access to files and system resources.
Some of these new features could also take advantage of RTX Spark to run models directly on the PC, without needing to systematically go through the cloud.
The conference could also be an opportunity to learn more about Windows K2, the project launched earlier this year to improve Windows 11. Several changes have already started arriving with Windows 11 26H2, while others are still being tested with members of the Windows Insider program.
Among them, we find in particular several changes to the interface, new animations and some improvements aimed at making Windows 11 faster and more pleasant to use. It remains to be seen what Microsoft will choose to show us tonight.
