Our application iAddict for Mac (Link to Mac App Store – Free) receives a new update that should be of interest to those who regularly follow KultureGeek news on various devices. From now on, Read and unread articles, favorites, and Read Later list are synced to the iOS app (App store link – Free). A new feature that lets you find your articles on Mac, iPhone, and iPad without having to manage your reading lists separately.

Find your read and favorite articles on all your devices
With this update, iAddict for Mac takes a new step in its integration with the mobile application. Until now, reading an article on Mac was not reflected on iPhone or iPad. Therefore, it was possible to find previously viewed news among the unread articles on your phone.
Reading states are now synchronized between devices. An article read on your Mac will also be considered read on your iPhone, and vice versa. The same principle applies to articles that you voluntarily mark as unread.
Favorites also benefit from this synchronization. Do you see interesting news on KultureGeek from your computer? Add it to your favorites and find it right in the iOS app. It is no longer necessary to maintain different lists depending on the device used.

“Read Later” list becomes accessible everywhere
Another notable improvement: Synchronizing articles saved in “Read later”. This feature allows you to skip the news without necessarily consulting it immediately.
The benefit is particularly obvious when you regularly switch from your computer to your smartphone. You can, for example, locate a folder dedicated to new technologies on your Mac during the day, add it to your list, and find it on your iPhone at night to take the time to read it.
This development complements the favorites and delayed playback features introduced on Mac last June. The mobile application already had synchronization with iCloud, but until now it lacked this continuity with macOS.
iAddict brings together news from KultureGeek and iPhoneAddict
For those who don’t know yet, iAddict for Mac is a free app that can be accessed from the macOS menu bar. It allows you to check the latest posts from KultureGeek and iPhoneAddict, receive notifications when a new article is published, and follow high-tech news without having to constantly keep your browser open.
The app also integrates our high-tech price comparison, as well as promotions on tech products and apps from the Mac App Store.
On iPhone and iPad, iAddict was recently updated to version 6, with a completely modernized interface, audio reading of articles, and integration of the KultureGeek comparator. The latter allows you to search for products, consult their price history and create alerts in case of price drops.
The new synchronization brings the two applications closer together, maintaining an interface adapted to each device.
iAddict for Mac is available for free on the Mac App Store. Sync arrived with version 3.3.1, followed by a 3.3.2 update that brings fixes.
