Like last time, we remind you that setting up a computer is not without risks for you or your equipment. Neither CultureGeeknor can I be responsible in case of damage or problem with the equipment. The PCs offered are just simple examples that can be modified as you wish; If you have any questions, you can of course contact us. The cases are, for the most part, personal choices based on your tastes, the proposals made here are only proposals among the best in their category. To stay on a long-term approach, we will focus on the latest generation: a slightly higher price for a longer lifespan.

In what will serve as a continuation of the previous month’s report, we will offer you no less than 5 PCs accessible to any budget. We’ll start with a low-cost Internet PC. We will continue on the gaming PC with the gaming PC and then the gaming PC, more expensive but capable of displaying your games in high definition. The Hardcore Gamer PC will follow at a huge price, a generation ahead of other configurations. Finally, an unusual PC, the living room PC, known as HTPC for Home Theater Personal Computer, which will be used more as a Steam Box, allowing you to play on the television and also as a multimedia station.

Simple and cheap, this PC won’t do much for you. We completely forget about video games and concentrate on office automation and a small part of multimedia. Let us point out, however, that this PC is not the first prize, the hard drive can be changed for a cheaper one with a lower capacity at 5400 rpm, the same for the processor replaceable with an Intel Celeron or a cheaper AMD, remember, but you will have to choose another motherboard compatible with AMD.

We raised the price a little for a much higher range. We finally arrive at the gaming PC at an affordable price that allows you to run any game, some not very demanding, with the maximum configuration. For slightly more demanding games we will increase the RAM to 8GB. Otherwise, to reduce costs we will dispense with the SSD or go from an HD7850 to an HD7770.

3. PC Gamer

First of all, it is true that the price of the PC presented above is quite high, but you should know that here we present the essentials for the gaming PC. To significantly reduce the bill, it is possible to upgrade to an HD 7950 for the graphics card. To gain speed, we will not hesitate much to upgrade to 12 GB and a larger SSD to be able to put our games on it. With one or the other, you will be guaranteed to run any game in ultra in total silence. This is certainly the most durable configuration and may not be changed for several years.

4. Hardcore PC Gamer

The elite of PCs, the hardcore gamer’s PC is necessarily the most expensive and the most futuristic. A cutting-edge 2011 socket, impressive speed with a 3.5 GHz processor along with 16 GB of the fastest RAM and, above all, the most modern graphics card: the NVIDIA GTX Titan recognized as the best graphics card of the moment! Regarding cooling, we recommend a Watercooling installation to reduce the processor temperature as much as possible. Regarding data storage, some will prefer two smaller capacity SSDs to slightly gain speed; For practical reasons we advise you to choose a large one even if the cost is higher.

5.HTPC

Halfway between the Home Theater Personal Computer (HTPC) and the Steam Box (living room computer), this PC will be simple and relatively powerful. For a fairly small space, we will prefer fairly cool components, i.e. a well-cooled graphics card, a 4-core processor with a relatively low TDP cooled by one of the best top-flow coolers on the market. Powerful enough to run good games in high definition, the storage space will also allow you to enjoy all your media directly on your TV with 7.1 channel HD sound.
