Marvel has released a new trailer for VisionQuest less than two weeks before its premiere on Disney+. These images especially clarify the relationship between Vision and Thomas Shepard, presented as a possible reincarnated son, while giving Ultron a more menacing position than in the first trailer. The series will begin on October 14, 2026 with two episodes..

Vision and Thomas Shepard united by a chase
The starting point is now much clearer. After his reconstruction and escape, the White Vision hid among humans, until a bounty on his head put an end to this secret. Then she meets Thomas Shepard, a teenager with superhuman speed who could be linked to Billy Maximoff and Wanda’s past.
The new trailer emphasizes their joint escape. Vision still doesn’t know whether to protect Thomas, trust him, or understand what he represents. The young man, for his part, seems to be looking for both a father and an ally. This dynamic gives the series a more intimate focus than the simple pursuit of an android by a secret organization.
Marvel presents VisionQuest as the final part of a trilogy started by WandaVision and then continued with Agatha All Along. KultureGeek had already mentioned the premiere date of the series and its first trailer. The new information, therefore, is not its existence, but this second montage, which further reveals the trajectory of the characters and confirms the launch in two episodes.

Ultron returns to Vision’s mind
James Spader reprises the role of Ultron, more than eleven years after Avengers: Age of Ultron. The character does not appear simply as a physical enemy. He is one of the artificial intelligences housed in Vision’s mind, along with JARVIS, FRIDAY and EDITH. Therefore, the hero must face several voices, some of which help him understand his identity and others of which clearly try to influence him.
This is where the trailer gets more interesting. Vision tries to live a semi-normal life, even in a pub where he takes on a human appearance, but this façade doesn’t hold up. Ultron constantly reminds him what he is: an artificial being constructed from conflicting programs, memories, and intentions.
The return of James Spader, however, does not mean that the Ultron destroyed in the 2015 film has found a body or that he immediately becomes the great adversary of the series. The available images mainly show an interior presence. Marvel still does not make clear the link between this voice, the reward aimed at Vision and those who want his technology back.
Eight episodes and an already well-stocked cast
The season will count eight episodes. Paul Bettany naturally takes on the role of Vision, while Ruaridh Mollica plays Thomas Shepard. The cast also includes T’Nia Miller, Emily Hampshire, Todd Stashwick, Orla Brady, Diane Morgan, James D’Arcy, Lauren Morais, Polly Frame, Henry Lewis and Jonathan Sayer.
Terry Matalas, already known for Star Trek: Picard, created the television series and is among its writers. The production is shared by Christopher J. Byrne, Gandja Monteiro, Vincenzo Natali and Matalas. Marvel has yet to detail the schedule for the next six episodes after the initial October 14 release.
The trailer, however, confirms that VisionQuest will not be a simple technical sequel to WandaVision. The story will combine an escape, an uncertain relationship between father and son and an internal conflict between several artificial intelligences. Thomas Shepard appears to be the human pivot, while Ultron remains the most difficult threat to track down.
