YouTube will allow creators to test up to three versions of the same video to identify the one that best captures the audience’s attention. The platform takes advantage of its Made on YouTube conference to also announce new artificial intelligence tools, short series, personalized broadcasts and various functions for viewers.

YouTube studio will soon be integrated A real test for videos. YouTubers will be able to submit up to three different edits of the same video, such as multiple intros or edit beats, and then let YouTube determine which one works best with different segments of viewers. The platform is based on more than 40 million tests already carried out on titles and thumbnails since the launch of this feature in 2024.

YouTube is also adding artificial intelligence tools to YouTube Studio. The assistant will be able to analyze a video that is still in draft and give recommendations on pacing, structure or narration. Creators will also be able to generate thumbnails adapted to the style of their channel and use dynamic thumbnails, with up to three proposals presented to different audience segments.

The platform also features a Gemini-based conversational editor in Shorts and the YouTube Create app. The creator will be able to request changes in natural language, such as deleting passages, rearranging sequences, or synchronizing the music with the pace of the edit. YouTube is also testing personalized comment moderation that learns each creator’s preferences.

Short YouTube Series and Personalized Recommendations

YouTube is also launching Short Series that allow short videos to be grouped into seasons and episodes. Viewers will be able to use dedicated thumbnails and sequential playback to follow a story without manually searching for each episode. YouTube reports that microdramas surpassed 6.5 billion views in the first half of 2026, with viewing time increasing more than 50% year over year.

For viewers, it will soon be possible to create multiple custom threads based on simple requests like “late-night long documentaries” or “new DIY creators.” These feeds can then be automatically updated with new recommendations. YouTube is also preparing new “Ask YouTube” features to search for products and get recommendations directly while you watch.

Finally, comments will soon be able to accommodate GIFs on mobile devices and be posted from a TV using voice control. YouTube is also preparing for the arrival of creator posts on TVs, as well as new protections against unauthorized use of creators’ faces and voices.
